happier at home

it's been more than four months since i last commuted to work. almost right after i quit my bpo job, i got hired as a home-based editor. the first two months were hellish. aside from adapting to the type of work, which required more thinking compared to my former job (eyeroll), i was hired during the company's peak season. with the heavy workload, and my inherent laziness, my life revolved around my pc. i was constantly thinking of buying an ergonomic chair. sometimes, my thoughts would stray to stocking my ref with easy-to-prepare meals.

anyway, fast forward to today, i am increasingly liking this set-up. aside from the obvious perk of never having to commute to work again, i could take naps, watch movies and tv series, or do my laundry in between deadlines. there's no dress code so there's virtually no need for me to shop for clothes. my time is my own to manage. and now that i have so mastered self-motivation, thanks to the strict rule imposed against late submissions, my editors don't hate me anymore. so it's probably safe to assume that there's no impending threat on my employment status.

these days, i don't have too much work during the middle of the week. so i could blog/blab here again. you have been warned.
